A home filled with art and pets > any other option… living in a cold basement?
Do you know what’s still really surreal? That my art ends up on your walls. Like, literally hung in your home. You just go about your life and look at it each day. Wild.
They are just my little painting doodles that I create at home or at my market stall, and then you take them away with you. And they make new homes in your desks, walls, shelves, fridges…
I love filling my home with art and trinkets, and things that make me happy. Gotta do something with those magnolia renters' walls, ya know? Although sometimes my husband threatens that I’m becoming a hoarder. But from the limited print that we got as a wedding gift, to the little A4 prints we brought for £15 in Italy, (It was from this fun little cafe, the owner literally hugged me when I asked to buy them, even though we couldn’t speak the same language.) All of my art has a little meaning and a lot of happiness.
Did you know there are literally scientific benefits to having art in your home? Art is not just decoration, it’s personal expression. It encourages cognitive growth and reduces stress. This supports your well-being and mental health.
And it’s even better if it’s art you have a connection with! Pets and humans form deep emotional connections. They preserve significant memories and connections, and they support us in more ways than I can start to explain here. Having that preserved and in a place you can see every day, it’s so good for your heart.
So, maybe, my art does deserve a place in your home. And it warms my heart a whole lot to know it could bring you as much joy as my art brings me.
