Give more than a Pet Painting this Christmas 🎄✨

It’s that time of the year again. The evenings are dark, your heating is on, and you're brainstorming gifts for all your extended family (is your second cousin thrice removed even going to like those wool socks??)

Shopping overwhelm is real, and most of us haven’t even started gift hunting. I’ll admit that I’ve not brought a single present yet. Years of working in retail did not rub off on me enough to get me to shop early.

Some of you may not know, but I worked shop floor retail for over 3 years whilst dreaming up Fuzzleduck, and the shopping consumption was EYE-OPENING. Did you know that a lot of retailers call this season ‘peak’ and will make 60-70% of their annual sales between October and December? That was a lot of stressful gift wrapping behind a till for me. 

Black Friday is when things really kick off. People are ready for these discounts. A treat for themselves and a long list of gifts to get. 

As Black Friday weekend is approaching fast, I’ve decided to take Fuzzleduck in a bit of a different direction.

 I’ll be honest with you, I want people to order from me because they resonate with my art, because they love their pet and can’t wait to get a painting of them on the wall, because it will make the perfect gift for their friend who calls themself a dog mum. Not because they're on sale for 20% off one weekend of the year. 

I’ve decided to donate the money that could be discounted to RATS animal rescue.

As you may know, I have been partnering with RATS since the start of this year. I paint portraits of their dogs waiting to find their forever homes, just like Panda (painting featured at the top of this blog).  I’m honoured to support their cause, and excited every time I get to see the sweetest photos of their dogs!

Recently, RATS have started rebuilding their kennels to offer their dogs the best environment. Check out their progress, or make your own donation here.

Any paintings or Christmas Cards ordered via my website between Friday, 28th November and Monday, 1st December, will have 20% of the profits donated to RATS animal rescue.
