How your pet could become a Fuzzleduck Greetings Card
If you’ve seen me at a market, you’ll recognise the Fuzzleduck greetings cards. Some are stylistic breeds caricatures, but my favourites have a little more ✨pizazz✨
2025 Christmas cards featured some typical cat behaviours - an orange cat tangled up in lights, another cat batting baubles off the bottom of the Christmas tree. These stylised illustrations originally started as photos of my friends' pets.
The ginger kitten was originally inspired by a picture of my friend's kitten sitting very smartly with that perfect innocent kitten face. And I’ll admit, originally, the cat under the tree was just safely admiring the baubles.
This year I want to expand my greeting card collection, and to do that some need inspiration photos. That’s why I’m calling upon you ducklings!
Do you have the best, cutest, funniest photo of your pet? I know you do. Maybe it’s your cat making biscuits or sitting in a perfected loaf. Your dog giving the best puppy eyes, or an action shot of them stealing something they shouldn’t have.
Whatever it is, I want to see it!
I would love for you to email me these photos so I can use them as reference photos for my greeting cards line. And if your pet inspires any cards, I’ll send you a first print of that card in the post!
What does it mean to have your photo used as a reference? It means I’ll use your images as a jumping-off point to design my cards; the cards won’t be an exact recreation of your photo. I might copy the position you cat is lying in, but change the fur pattern. Or I might change the environment around them.
I love designing greeting cards. I get to play around and create a mini story. There are no limitations like trying to make a perfect recreation, capturing every aspect of the pet. I can paint whatever I like, no matter how silly.
So message me your pet photos - I can’t wait to turn them into something special!
